My name is John Prudhoe and I am a local musician! I play drums in two bands: Spier (surf punk / noise duo), and Kate Pike and the Loose Boots (grease folk / punk). We play lots of shows in and around the Prince George area, have played multiple music festival shows over the last two summers, and have been able to travel around a large portion of the province playing and sharing music with other British Columbia musicians. I also play guitar and bass guitar, and have just started my first solo recording project. I have a Bachelor of Science from the University of Northern British Columbia, Majoring in Environmental Science with a Minor in Soil Science. I am very involved with the music community, often volunteering for shows at Omineca Arts Centre, doing sound at local community events, and hosting open-mic nights. I love to share music with the community, and participate in local and regional music activities.
I am a teacher candidate in secondary years cohort of the Bachelor of Education program at UNBC, specializing in math and science instruction. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach a Grade 6/7 class at Ron Brent Elementary School over the 2024/2025 schoolyear, and then work on the resource team assisting with all subject areas for Grade 8-12 students and onboarding new students in Alternate Community Programs at John McInnis school.
